Apple has always been into patents , and now a latest patent has been granted to the Cupertino giant . This new patent titled ' Integrated Inductive charging in a protective case ' . In fact under the name of abstruse , it is to be understood that Apple is going to charge your iPad over the smart covers without any wires dangling around .
The smart cover will include a inductive power transmitter , that will wirelessly pass the power to a receiving unit probably fixed in the iPad . The patent states that in order to transfer the power , the cover should be closed in order to complete the circuit .

The protective cover can include an adaptive inductive power supply system capable of varying the amount of power supplied by the protective cover by way of inductive coupling based on the needs of the iPad.
