Concept : iOS App Switcher Redesigned

We've seen quite a number of App Switcher concept in the past few months , and today again a new App Switcher concept has hit the web . According to the concept designer , Jesse Head . There is a difference between app switching and Multitasking . Which is quite true . The iOS ecosystem lacks actual multitasking .
So , he came up with a intuitive App switcher concept , that many would say is a combination of Auxo and Mission Board .



This concept features all the factors of a true multitasking tray . It has toggles , Music Player , Web OS like card interface - which is quite similar to Auxo .Swipe up or down to kill the app . And the best feature that all the others lacked , a Search bar (Which only searched for app , so no hassles )

The stock App Switcher for iOS is pathetic . That would be my very first comment for the app switcher. Quite a handful of people had already taken up this task , some ended great and some wrecked .

At present , the iOS App switcher is not even multitasking , while switching a app , it pauses one app and starts the other . But in this concept , the apps remain in a ' semi - active ' state .

The switcher concept also solves the problem in which the iPhone’s screen is too small to use multiple finger gestures (as the iPad does to switch between apps). By double tapping the home button, you are now in the switcher, and are able to switch between apps in a manner similar to an iPad. Further, it allows for prime positioning of the toggles, brightness and music controls. By separating the controls from the apps, they can now be positioned off to the left and right of the screen, minimizing total swipes.
